Magazine Research

The cover layout is composed of the title in a larger size than the other print on it and contains five subtopic headings with the purpose of catching the readers attention. As for the design, there is a side angel shot of a runner with adidas workout leggings and sports bra, the camera is focused on the runner leaving the track in the background faded.

The colors used in the cover seem to all be in a warmer range, most likely emphasizing the time of the day in which the common runner would train. Text features vary in size, font and color. Like mentioned before the title is the largest text in bold and in color white in order for it to stand out. The following texts are subtopics which vary between a white and black color, bold and not not bold and from a medium to a smaller size.
In this specific version of the Runner's World there is articles that will help the reader know how to improve their lower body strength, health, eating habits, how to target and treat running injuries and other articles on improving agility.

As you open the magazine you come across the first advertisement which is announcing the upcoming celebration of the 25th year anniversary of the Walt Disney World 2017 Marathon. Two pages are used for this advertisement, in the first page the background is black with a hint of the next page, containing brief information about the race followed by a picture of the running start line of the previous race, such picture fills the entire page.

Throughout the magazine there is photos of running gear from different brands as well as running shoes, exercises, running trails, races varying on distance and location and athletic equipment.
